Driver Safety Programs - Driver Safety

Driver Safety

Driver safety is, on all levels, an extremely important variable. Maximize driver safety and you minimize risk, cost, and stress.

Driver Safety - Getting It Down

What is a "safe driver?" How can a business be expected to check the safety of a specific individual, monitor that safety over time, and train as necessary to eliminate unsafe driving practices? Companies with major mobility demands have a lot to worry about - and while driver safety is important it might not be on the top of any list of business or financial priorities.

But it should.

Driver safety makes business sense

Think about the entire cost of that single driver:

  • There is the car.
  • There's gas to put in the car, and repairs over time to keep the car running.
  • Insurance, salaries, and the meetings that need to be reached and the reason for driving in the first place.

Driving is incredibly expensive for any business, and it makes sense to give yourself the greatest security possible by installing a company-wide driver safety program. Encouraging and even stressing driver safety shows that you actually care for the health of the driver, but it also shows you mean business, that the driving in itself is for business purposes, and that the continued profitability of any organization depends on the efficiency and driver safety of their drivers.

Do you understand the pros, as well, of driver safety programs?
